Spam Assassin (included with your site) We take pride in the fact that our new servers have Spam Assassin, one of the best known and industry recognized spam removal packages installed on them. Spam Assassin is installed server wide and is configured at the server level for your convenience.
GDMilter (included with your site) GDMilter is a sendmail milter designed to help ensure that mail received to the server actually originated from an authentic mail server, not a bot or other mass mailer. When GDMilter receives a piece of mail, it returns a delay to the sender mail server. If the sending server is actually a mail server, it will retry the message. If it is not a mail server, but rather a bot or similar, then the mail is not retried. If the message is retried then the sender is whitelisted as an authentic mail sender. The main advantage to this method is that a filter isn’t processing the entire message on the server, using up system resources. Any sender/server that is already known to be safe can be manually whitelisted to bypass this delay process.
SpamGuard (Available upon request - no fee) In order to assist you further with allowing you to further filter out spam while receiving valid emails we can also install an additional program called SpamGuard on your account. SpamGuard allows you to block individual E-mail address as well as block all email from a certain domain. There is also the option to block words where incoming email having even single occurrence of blocked word will be blocked as well as the ability to Add Spam words and Add Non Spam words. The Spam and Non spam words are compared to calculate probability of mail being spam.
